Scribbles: Introspection

Photo Credit: Becca Russom on Unsplash

My mirror lied to me
It didn’t show me all
‘Twasn’t until the playground lads
Laughed me to death
‘Fore I knew
I had been wrongly dealt

But lie, did it?
It ne’er saw my back
Nor the perfume that I wore
It profusely swore
With tears streaming
Down its glossy side.
