Right on the Epitaph

Gone are the days of princesses
and nights in shining armor;
That leave you four dead
In that conquered walled city
Painted with emotional trauma and
A healthy dose of sadness two
And though second chances come often
Feigning dead is risky business
When conquerors come too finish of
Survivors that pain forgot two claim
Who can right an epitaph of two shot lines
On their lover’s bloodied tombstone
E’en though it bee off a pet beloved.

  1. Great use of homophones! You managed to maintain an excellent balance between clarity and homophonic nonsensicality. Favorite homophones: “bee off” LOL! 🙂
